Below we will lay out all the long term parking options (both on-site and off-site) so we can make a fair comparison, not only based on price, but also security features and additional services.
Park and Fly Oakland is the most affordable OAK Airport Long Term parking option. Rates start from $7 per day for uncovered parking and from $8.50 for covered parking. It is an off-site privately-owned facility, located just 1.8 miles to the terminals. A complimentary shuttle will take you to your terminal and pick you up when you return from your trip. The parking area is properly-lit, gated, and monitored 24/7 by security cameras. Additionally, you can request car washing and detailing services.
As its name suggests, Economy Parking Lot is the official budget parking option at Oakland Airport. Its maximum daily rate reaches $18. It is a spacious uncovered parking lot, located in John Glenn Drive, near Terminal 1. The Economy Lot is served by a complimentary shuttle service. The shuttles run 24/7 between the terminals and the Economy Parking Lot. Designated EV charging stations are situated in Section M1 closest to John Glenn Drive/Alan Shepard Way Intersection. Economy Lot accepts the following payment methods: cash, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Diners Club.
The airport recommends the Daily Parking Lot for extended-stay and overnight parking. The hourly rate is $5 per 60 minutes (first 2 hours per 24 hours), and the day rate is $24. It is an outdoor surface lot, adjacent to the Hourly Parking Lot. Since it is within easy walking distance to the terminals, the Daily Parking Lot is not served by airport shuttle transportation. EV charging stations are situated near L6 behind the parking office building. You can pay with many different methods, such as cash, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Diners Club.
The Hourly Parking Lot is the second closest option to the terminals. It is an uncovered surface lot, located across from OAK Terminals 1 and 2. It is mostly preferred for short-term parking due to its high rates - $1 per 12 minutes, up to $34 per 24 hours. Due to its proximity to the terminals, there is no shuttle service operating from the parking lot. EV Charging stations are not installed yet, so if you own an electric car, you might want to choose another parking facility. Acceptable payment methods include cash, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Diners Club.
Located directly across from the terminals, Premier Parking Lot is the closest parking to the OAK terminals. It is an outdoor surface lot with rates starting from $4 per 30 minutes, up to $38 per day. There is no shuttle service from the parking lot, so you will need to carry your bags all the way to your gate. Free EV charging is available in this facility. You will find the designated EV charging spots near the walkway to Terminal 2 baggage claim. You can pay with cash, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Diners Club.
