Before driving to San Francisco Airport, it is important to know if it’s in your best interest to park your car in one of the on-site or off-site parking facilities at SFO. It is common to pay more for on-site parking than in an off-site private provider, but on-site facilities can be more convenient.
There are four official parking options at San Francisco Airport - Long Term Parking, Domestic Parking Garage, International Parking Garages A & G, and Valet Parking. We have extensively researched the prices and fees for these major parking options to help you find the best deals that SFO Airport offers. Continue reading to compare the SFO parking rates, services, and locations to find the right choice for your trip.
Parking Facility | Daily Rate | Weekly Rate | Covered? | Type |

As you can see in the table above, the parking rates increase the closer you get to the airport terminals. The good news it that there are plenty of options for either short or long term parking, and covered or outdoor spaces. Long Term Parking offers Park and Ride services with a free shuttle, the Parking Garages are walking distance to their associated terminal, and Valet parking has ultra-convenient curbside drop-off/pick-up. Check out the details for each of these options below:
Long Term Parking at San Francisco Airport consists of a multi-level parking garage and an outdoor surface lot. They are located 2.5 miles to the airport and provides complimentary 24/7 shuttle service. Shuttles run every 5-15 minutes, depending on the time of day.
The SFO Long Term Parking Lot/Garage charges $2.00 every 15 minutes, up to $18.00 per day. It costs $126 for one week of parking (this includes all taxes and SFO parking fees). Among the four parking options, this has the most reasonable SFO Airport parking rates.
The Domestic Parking Garage offers five levels of covered parking in the center of the San Francisco Airport. This parking garage is meant for travelers with a domestic flight because it has short and easy access to all Domestic Terminals via tunnels. The convenient location makes it ideal for business and leisure travelers who plan to take a short trip or for picking up passengers.
The Domestic Parking Garage rates start at $2.00 for every fifteen minutes. The SFO daily rate at the Domestic Parking Garage is $36 per day. If you are looking for SFO short term parking, then this is a great option because of the low costs for short stays.
The two International Parking Garages are located in front of the International Terminal, one on the north side and one on the south side of the airport. The International Garages are connected to the International Terminal via convenient pedestrian walkways. If you need to reach the Domestic Terminal, then you can use the AirTrain service. There are AirTrain stations located in both of the International Parking Garages that go to Domestic Terminals 1, 2, & 3. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the Domestic Terminal from the International Parking Garages.
The International Parking Garages cost $2.00 per 15 minutes, up to $36 per 24 hours. It costs $252 for a week of parking. The rates include all taxes and fees.
San Francisco valet parking is the most convenient choice for parking, but it is also the most expensive. A valet will park your car for you and will have it ready upon your return. To access valet parking, go to the upper level Domestic "Departures" roadway, opposite Delta Air Lines.
Valet parking charges a flat rate of $45 for the first 24 hours. After the first 24 hours, then it costs $2.00 per 15 minutes up the daily maximum of $45 per day. This rate includes all taxes and fees. For an additional price, you can request car wash and detailing services.
Note: Valet Parking services are temporarily suspended, due to COVID-19.
Getting to the airport by car is always more convenient, but you need to consider where to park and how much you want to spend. SFO parking costs for the official parking lots and garages tend to be due to their proximity to the airport. The on-site parking options are usually very crowded, especially during peak travel seasons. The fact that they operate on a first-come, first-served basis makes things even more difficult. Waiting to find an available parking spot until the last minute makes things very stressful. And, most often, this results in paying much more than you would if you reserved a parking spot online in advance.

Booking off-site parking through ParkFellows saves money and grants excellent flexibility. You can cancel or modify your booking up to 48 hours before your flight.
